Upside is Italy’s first gaming event dedicated to emerging technologies, held on June 28–29 at the Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples. Organized by a partnership led by the University of Campania and supported by MIMIT, the event explores 5G, AI, VR, IoT, and Blockchain through a unique gaming competition.  With Mkers I’ve designed immersive content and interactive challenges to engage Gen Z and the wider gaming community.  The event featured live gameplay with ultra-fast 5G connectivity (powered by WINDTRE), institutional conferences, and research-led insights on technology’s impact in digital entertainment.  With nine games, five sessions, and a high-tech setup, Upside successfully merged innovation, competition, and education — offering a forward-thinking experience at the intersection of gaming and next-gen tech.
